Visitors Requiring Special Assistance
On arriving at the Vaults, please speak to a staff member on the front entrance. You will be escorted into the building via step free access to the pre-show queuing area. Navigating around the Vaults will be mainly via level pathways. However due to the nature of the attraction some floor surfaces are uneven so we would recommend applying the brakes of your wheelchair whenever in a stationary position. The attraction does cover three levels, however we do have a lift, and staff are in place to assist you around the tour.
WHEELCHAIR DIMENSION & WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
Due to restrictions at the Vaults we can only admit wheelchairs if they are less than 300kg with both user and wheelchair weight included. Wheelchairs must not be over the width of 27 inches wide and must be able to navigate tight angles and uneven flooring. Unfortunately, we are unable to admit mobility scooters.
To ensure that our guests are all as safe as possible we are only able to admit one wheelchair user per hour. This is due to fire evacuation procedures.
DEAF & BLIND GUESTS
The Vaults experience is delivered by live actors and some audio voiceover and spot effects, often in low light levels. Therefore guests with low vision, who have visual impairment or have hearing difficulties may struggle to experience the attraction fully; however you are able to bring a carer free of charge to assist.
CAN I LEAVE MY BELONGINGS OR PUSHCHAIR SOMEWHERE WHILE I’M IN THE VAULTS?
Unfortunately we can’t store luggage. We’ve utilised our space to make sure that the experience is as immersive as possible and so do not have a cloakroom or somewhere to leave luggage.
Pushchairs are, of course, allowed entry and our staff will be happy to store them for you. If you wish to take them with you please take note that the tour does contain some staircases and you will have to carry the pushchairs unaided.
PUSHCHAIR & BUGGIES
A Vaults tour takes place over three levels, with narrow passage ways, uneven flooring and tight corners. Although we allow buggies and pushchairs inside the attraction, we would recommend folding them down. Please note there is no lift access for buggies and pushchairs and you will need to carry them at certain points, including two sets of stairs.
Due to Health & Safety concerns & the tour taking place over three levels, with narrow passage ways, uneven flooring and tight corners, the Vaults does not allow entry with luggage. Unfortunately, we do not have an area to keep luggage for you.
The Vaults is a full-on immersive experience, complete with a lot of thrills and the odd fright here and there. We recommend that the minimum age for a child to enjoy the Vaults is 8 years, however many children under this age visit and have a great time – you know your own kids better than us, so we’ll leave that to you.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO IF I HAVE TO LEAVE THE ATTRACTION?
Naturally, you are free to leave at any time that you need, just speak to the actor in your scene and they’ll make arrangements for someone to escort you out as soon as possible.
